Hi Brock,

Interesting! This requirement is functionaly similar to the recent expressed need for allowing for gpus instanding reservations (except without being node-bound). If you get a useful response that does not go to the list, please pass it on.

thanks,

Gareth

Subject: [Moabusers] Tying software tokens to a Standing Res

We have a faculty who bought some tokens for a software package.
We already have some other tokens for this package, and their tokens
were added to the pool.

The tokens are floating so they should be able to go any place. We
are currently querying the server using FLEXlm.

What I would like to know, is can I attach the tokens the faculty
paid for to a standing res, so that they may always get access to
their X tokens. But allow them to use the same syntax as other
users (#PBS -l gres=token),

Even better would be if this worked like regular SR's that the owner
of these tokens can use the public tokens also, should they not be in
use.

The manual mentions '# License Ownership with Advance Reservations '
On page:
http://www.clusterresources.com/products/mwm/docs/
13.7licensemanagement.shtml

But I want a SR, and I can't even find on the ADvance Reservations
page the word 'license',

Thanks!
